Attorney General backs Miranda limit for terror suspects: are you happy now, Republicans?

It’s becoming increasingly hard for Republicans to claim the Obama administration isn’t “tough on terrorists”.  Heck, they’re even taking away conventional constitutional rights. Attorney General Backs Miranda Limit for Terror Suspects – NYTimes.com.

Thwarting terrorism is luck, but only if you’re a Democrat.

The GOP meme: if you say it’s not luck enough times, it’s not luck. Using words like ‘socialist’ of course have the same impact.  Just remember, kids, all you need to do is say something enough times and it becomes reality.  If you have any questions regarding how this works, in Dick Cheney’s absence Sarah [...]

What American Republicans can learn from Britain’s Conservative Party.

Here’s a story regarding his possible next steps: Will Charlie Crist ditch the [...]

Fox News’s Roger Ailes is the real GOP Chairman.

Fineman writes: Politics, like nature, abhors a vacuum—which is why God created Roger Ailes. The president of Fox News is, by default, the closest thing there is to a kingmaker in Anti-Obama America. And that, in turn, makes him the de facto leader of the GOP. True.  And he’s been the GP chairman for years. [...]

Steele to GOP critics: “Get a life” or “fire me”.

‘Of the public criticism, Steele said his fellow Republicans should “cut it out.” ‘”All I'm saying is 'cut it out,'” Steele told ABC. “If we have party differences that are inside the party, let's deal with them inside the party. You don't see the Democrats running around trying to beat up their national chairman or [...]
